Kieron Lyons will engage your SEO project on a fixed fee basis. Although it will change from company to company, we find that these projects typically last from a minimum of four months to a maximum of nine months, after which our customers are self-sufficient. Where desired, a small monthly fee may be continued thereafter to cover page updates in accordance with normal search engine algorithm changes.

SEO Services Inclusions

Depending on the size and sophistication of your web site, we would typically provide SEO services based on a keyword spread of at least twenty keywords and sometimes up to several hundred. We will conduct research on volume search traffic on targeted keywords, online market characteristics and competitor analysis. Our SEO services may include both on-site optimisation as well as off-site optimisation (link building – paid and unpaid).
 

Results From Your SEO Company

So if there are no guarantees, what can you expect? The first thing you should expect is guidance from your SEO company as to which keywords are likely to deliver good search engine placement based on current competition. Secondly, of these keywords, you should expect a plan of action that can be evolved until top placement, or at least page one placement is attained. You should expect tangible deliverables such as keyword lists (with volume search numbers), optimised web pages, edited page content, new additional page content, a meaningful internal link structure for your site, list of inbound targeted links, directory listings and submissions, knowledge transfer and some (often major) physical search engine placement improvement. Last but not least, expect some creative new ideas! After all, you will win at the internet marketing war by being unique and differentiated in what you do.
 

Tracking SEO Results

Once the targeted keyword list is decided, you should request a competitive ranking report for your site plus your three biggest competitors for each of the keywords in the list and on each of the major search engines (Google, Yahoo, MSN). This is a benchmark against which future placement will be measured. Once optimised pages start being deployed, you should run this report fortnightly or even weekly until visible progress is made. Thereafter, run it monthly as a monitoring tool for on-going maintenance purposes.
